Congratulations on the birth of your little girl! She looks so pretty and cute :) Does she let you and your boyfriend sleep a little bit at night or is she a tough cryer? I wish you the very best of luck and lots of beautiful moments with Talila! Hugs and butterfly kisses.
Thank you : )! We’re lucky that she’s a very calm baby. She wakes up every 3 hours to feed but quickly settles back to sleep and I’m definitely feeling more refreshed than during pregnancy. Xx
A blog about babies and children-- perfection! Thank you for sharing such lovely thoughts and pictures that are so full of joy and life! All the best to you and your bebe! May you live long and prosper:) Cheers!
Your birth story is BEAUTIFUL! I had a similar birth here at home, and I'm always so happy when I hear of other women having the benefits of a supportive team and that blessed water! What a wonderful way to enter the world! Congratulations!
Since having my daughter the whole world seems brand new. Everything is amazing to her and that makes it amazing to me all over again. We spend most of our time playing, laughing, singing and looking at the sky and the trees. I laugh and smile more than I have since I was a little kid. I have never felt younger or more alive. If this isn't enjoying your youth I don't really know what is? Partying and acting recklessly? I'd rather go on adventures and discover the world with my little girl:)
To the anon who asked about your loss of youth: Just because someone has a child does not mean their youth is gone. People well into their lives still have it. While it may not be in appearance, it is in spirit and mind. Giving birth and becoming a mother doesn't mean that you are no longer young and can't act like it. It just means that you have someone who needs you and who you have to put before everything else, not that you can no longer partake in a youthful life.
The way you wrote your birth story was so expressive and it truly made me feel like i felt how you were feeling. You are a great writer. And your story was beautiful! You made me excited to go into labour and have my son :) Congratulations on your baby girl!
You're so strong and even though you're younger than me, I'm definitely inspired by how you reply to messages and how calm you seemed throughout your birth story (even if you weren't actually). I couldn't imagine being in your position right now, but you're doing such an incredible job living your life. I wish you luck and years and years of happiness :)
What I can assume from your answer, and correct me if I'm wrong, is that you believe that your youth is not gone, and so a teenage girl can have a baby and still have the life she would have had if she did not. I wasn't trying to be offensive with my comment, I'm not judging you in any way, I'm just interested in where you stand on the subject of teen pregnancy and would love to hear your thoughts on it. So do you believe that teen pregnancy should be embraced, or prevented?
That isn’t what I meant. New life is always life changing. Your life is going to be radically different if you have a baby in comparison to not having one. It doesn’t matter if your a teenage girl or a 40 year old women, your life is still going to change. I think we should put emphasis on supporting families without focusing on age : ). Xx
Congrats on your birth, it is a beautiful story =) I had a few questions: how did your Doctor react when you told him or her that you wanted to have a home birth? Did he or she try to talk you out of it? Did you have a mid wife? Was your baby on time? If not, did that have you considering going to the hospital? Just curious because I eventually want to have a mid wife. =)
Thanks : ). I had a midwife throughout my whole pregnancy so I never told any doctor that I was having a homebirth. I was booked into my local hospital as a back up in case something went wrong. They were supportive of me having a home birth. Yes, she came one day before her due date. If I was overdue I would have had ultrasounds and provided everything was okay, I would still have had her at home. Xx
Your birthing story was beautiful! It brought tears to my eyes <3 it's obvious you have so much love for your little girl already. I'm doing a natural birth but I've never thought about doing an at home water birth =/ I'm amazed at your strength!
Thanks so much! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and birth : ). Xx
